Handbell Program


Chapel Lane enjoys a very active Handbell Ringing program. In 2001, through fund-raising efforts and gifts and memorials, we were able to purchase three octaves of Malmark Handbells and four octaves of Malmark Handchimes. Many of our ringers participate in area workshops and clinics. The church is a member of the "American Guild of English Handbell Ringers".

ADULT HANDBELL CHOIR 


The Adult Handbell Choir rings a wide variety of musical styles. This fun group is composed of ringers college age and older. We presently have eleven members in this group and we gladly welcome new members at any time!

Rehearsal time: Thursdays, 5:45 pm - 6:50 pm


Assigned Sundays: This choir rings the second Sunday of every month at the 10:45 am service.

YOUTH HANDBELL CHOIR

The Youth Handbell Choir rings a wide variety of musical styles. This fun ringing group is composed of ringers in seventh through twelfth grade. We presently have ringers for a 4-octave choir in this group and we gladly welcome new members at any time!

Rehearsal time: Sundays, 1:15 PM - 2:00 PM (following the Youth Vocal choir)

 

Assigned Sundays: This choir rings the first Sunday of every month.


CHILDREN’S HANDCHIME CHOIR

The Children’s Handchime Choir rings a wide variety of musical styles. This is a very beginning group and we learn a lot about musical rhythms and pitch and healthy ringing. This fun group is composed of ringers in first through sixth grade. We gladly welcome new members at any time! We start rehearsals following school on Thursday afternoons:


Rehearsal time: Thursdays 5:00 – 5:30 pm (immediately after children’s choir and snack)


Assigned Sundays: This choir rings (& sings) the third Sunday of every month unless noted.

SUNDAY WORSHIP

You are invited to join us in worship on Sunday mornings. Our 8:30 a.m. service is relaxed and welcoming. Our 10:45 a.m. service, while more traditional in style and content, is welcoming as well. In both services we celebrate God's love for us through song, prayer, and the joyful proclamation of the Word.

 

Schedule Change: Please note that on Sunday, March 11, there will be no 8:30 a.m. service for that Sunday only. If you routinely attend the 8:30 service, you are encouraged to attend the 10:45 service to show support for the church’s youth, who will be conducting the service.

 

                                                     

WEDNESDAY WORSHIP

Join us for our Worship on Wednesdays (WOW!) service held at 7:00 p.m. and take advantage of this mid-week opportunity to reconnect and rejuvenate!
