Handbell Ringing Program

Chapel Lane enjoys a very active Handbell Ringing program. In 2001, through fund-raising efforts and gifts and memorials, we were able to purchase three octaves of Malmark Handbells and four octaves of Malmark Handchimes. Many of our ringers participate in area workshops and clinics. The church is a member of the "American Guild of English Handbell Ringers".

ADULT HANDBELL CHOIR:

We are starting our fourth year with handbells! The Adult Handbell Choir rings a wide variety of musical styles. This fun group is composed of ringers college age and up. We presently have eleven members in this group and we gladly welcome new members at any time!

Rehearsal time: Thursdays, 5:45 pm - 6:55 pm
Assigned Sundays: This choir rings the first Sunday of every month at the 10:45 am service.

HIGH SCHOOL HANDBELL CHOIR:

The High School Handbell Choir rings a wide variety of musical styles. This fun ringing group is composed of ringers in ninth through twelfth grade. We presently have ringers for a 3-octave choir in this group and we gladly welcome new members at any time! The music programs rehearse immediately following the Senior Youth Group meetings.

Rehearsal time: Sundays, 1:45pm - 2:45 pm (immediately after highschool Youth Group)
Assigned Sundays: This choir rings the first Sunday of every month otherwise noted.

JUNIOR HIGH HANDBELL CHOIR:

The Junior High Handbell Choir rings a wide variety of musical styles. We learn a lot about music! This fun ringing group is composed of ringers in sixth through eighth grade. We presently have ten members in this group and we gladly welcome new members at any time! We start rehearsals following the joint youth group lunch.

Rehearsal time: Sunday’s 1:00 - 1:45 pm (immediately following Junior High Choir)
Assigned Sundays: This choir rings (& sings) the second Sunday of every month unless noted.

CHILDREN’S HANDCHIME CHOIR

The Children’s Handchime Choir rings a wide variety of musical styles. This is a very beginning group and we learn a lot about musical rhythms and pitch and healthy ringing. This fun group is composed of ringers in first through fifth grade. We presently have twelve members in this group and we gladly welcome new members at any time! We start rehearsals following school on Thursday afternoons.

Rehearsal time: Thursdays 4:00 - 4:40 pm (immediately before children’s choir and snack)
Assigned Sundays: This choir rings (& sings) the third Sunday of every month unless noted.

4:50 - 5:30 pm - Children/s Vocal Choir
